Pokémon franchise started in the late '90s through the Game Boy's games by Nintendo. Since that moment these funny and cute monsters became a symbol for the young generations.
The colours and the design of all Pokémon are still viral nowadays through action figures, puppets, and fashionable clothes.

UNIQLO decided to take this opportunity and invest in the development of Pokémon franchising by holding a design competition for a new set of t-shirt.
​
The main idea was to make the Pokémon world accessible to a bigger range of customers by creating a minimal representation of their characteristics.
​
By changing the graphic design with colors and simple lines an apparent children market opens to everyone.
​
